Corner of Younge and Bloor

This past Saturday night in Toronto was Nuit Blanche, an all night art festival downtown. Most of the main, busy streets were closed for the art exhibitions. On my way home I had the chance to witness something extraordinary. There was an amazing trumpet player playing the most beautiful pieces in the middle of the street.
After one particularly breath taking piece, I approached him and told him how wonderful he was. He looked at me with a huge grin and said, “When could I ever do this in the middle of Younge and Bloor!” He laughed a heart warming laugh and put his trumpet back to his lips. He then started to play a gorgeous, romantic piece.

Every once and while, a moment like this one reminds you of the magic in this city.
